We were there for 1 day, everything was wonderful, really enjoyed its incredible location near to the restaurant, Scotland and the golf course and lovely views of the Dornoch Firth. Pleasant and kind staff, offered us wake up service and ironing. The breakfast was tasty with lots of food!

The location of the hotel and the beautiful views of the Dornoch Firth were outstanding. The heating in the room had very considerately been switched on when we arrived later at night, making the room lovely and cosy. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. We found Gayle (Reception) very cheerful and most helpful with regard to any questions/requests we had. The dining/sitting areas were well furnished and again cosy and welcoming. Beds were comfortable and we enjoyed a peaceful sleep. We thought the water pressure in the shower and the lovely hot water was excellent - in many hotels this is not so good often resulting in a tepid shower! Breakfast in the morning was a lovely Scottish full cooked breakfast which we both thoroughly enjoyed - tasty and piping hot. We were attended to promptly in the dining room by friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the near future. Excellent overall. Many thanks to all the staff

We loved our stay at the Royal Golf Hotel. Our room overlooked the first hole of Royal Dornoch to the sea beyond. Heaven indeed! The staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Robert, the Manager, was very attentive and we were so impressed by his multi-skilling! Gail and Valerie were great at Reception and very good-humoured. Even though we live in Australia, we have high hopes of returning to Dornoch and the Royal Golf Hotel before too long. Gary and Susan King

Extremely nice staff and a warm welcolme from a fellow Lancastrian. The hotel has been refurbished to a good standard and made for a pleasant stay. I needed an early breakfast and special arrangements were made to accommodate me.
It was dark when I arrived and I left before daybreak, so didn't get a chance to admire the view!

Had a blast with friends ! We explored the fine beach and played a round of golf nearby. The rooms were comfy, and the staff was super friendly. Breakfast offered a nice variety, but make sure to ask for extra toast if you want more! A great place for a fun getaway.
On the downside, our check-in was a bit rocky as the early check-in request wasn't communicated well, leading to a minor room mix-up.

We didn't stay for dinner as the food was pretty expensive and took a picnic on the beach instead. Breakfast was good , cooked breakfast not too greasy. Room was spacious and clean , view over the golf course and beach very pretty . ( I want the same bed in my home ! )

I enjoyed my stay at The Royal in Dornoch. The views of the golf course and the beach provided perfect scenes for my photography. The staff were friendly and cute. Though the restaurant service could be improved, I found the dining atmosphere cozy. A lovely stay overall.

The duty manager had no character or customer care. He spoke in monosilic words with no engaging in conversation. When we ate in the restaurant he banged around like a bull in a China shop. The ther guests also had the same impression of him, one person said he reminded them of Basil fawlty in faelty towers. For such a high end venue the hotel is lacking in some leisure facilitiesi.E. Pool, spa etc.....

I've always loved staying in dornoch, and this time was no exception. The views from our room were amazing, overlooking the golf course and the firth. Dining was a standout experience, especially the perfectly cooked breakfast with a variety of options.
the bar lacked a cozy atmosphere.
